Drawing inspiration from the successful alterations at The Oxfordshire Golf Club in Thame, Leaderboard Golf set the stage for a comprehensive interior refurbishment of the Sandford Springs Clubhouse, covering two floors of bar areas, function rooms, changing facilities, and reception areas

The project’s ambition was to reimagine the clubhouse’s interiors, infusing them with a sense of sophistication befitting the esteemed golf club while enhancing the overall functionality and experience for its members. The challenge lay in executing a seamless refurbishment that would not only meet the aesthetic and practical demands of a premier golf club but also align with the scheduled pre-booked functions, ensuring minimal disruption to the club’s vibrant social calendar.

Granted a ten-week timeframe, our mission was to harmonise meticulous design with operational precision. The refurbishment plan was expansive, targeting key areas to transform the clubhouse into a beacon of golf club elegance:

Strategic Structural Changes
The renovation began with significant structural modifications, including the reconfiguration of staircases to improve flow and accessibility within the clubhouse. The introduction of new stairways, complemented by state-of-the-art disabled lift facilities, marked a leap towards inclusivity and ease of access for all members. Panoramic Celebrations
A highlight of the refurbishment was the replacement of conventional windows with expansive feature picture windows. This architectural pivot was designed to capture and frame the breathtaking panoramic views of the golf course, inviting the outside beauty into the clubhouse and enhancing the ambiance of every room. Luxurious Amenities
Both male and female changing areas, along with WC and shower facilities, underwent a complete redesign. The goal was to expand these spaces, providing a more comfortable and spacious environment for members to refresh and relax. This included the installation of feature lighting and a new air conditioning system to ensure comfort throughout the seasons. Elegant Social Spaces
The clubhouse’s social heart received special attention with the fitting of three new bar areas. These spaces were envisioned to cater to the diverse needs of the club’s membership, from casual gatherings to formal events, each area reflecting the club’s commitment to quality and community.

Extending Elegance: The Leaderboard Hotel at Kingsclear

Our involvement extended beyond the clubhouse to the prestigious forty-bedroom Leaderboard Hotel at Kingsclear. Tasked with designing and supplying soft furnishings, our aim was to create a continuity of luxury and comfort. This encompassed providing high-quality bed linens, cushions, throws, upholstery fabrics, curtains, and accessories, ensuring that every guest room offered a sanctuary of elegance and relaxation.
